My alternator recently went on my talon. Im trying to it removed, im following the instructions from a haynes manual. Which states that you unbolt the power steering pump and put it off to the side. The only problem is when I loosen on of the bolts, it hits the pulley. I was also wondering if, I can just loosen the alternator mounting bolts and then take off the belt along with the alternator.

Some of you may remember I had a question about flames shooting out a cars exhaust, some people say running no cat can do this, But my research lead me to believe that less back pressure in any car (na/turbo/or supercharged) can lead to flames shooting out the muffler. My friends sti is bone stock except for the whole new aftermarket exhaust. I this exhaust sys. might be specifically made to reduce back pressure with it's straight thru design which leaves unburned fuel that was not suppose to ...

I'm wondering what oil filter you guys are using. I hear mobil1,oem,pure one, and k&n are good. I went to four different parts stores today and they didn't have the filter code I needed, they had all except the one I needed. All the stores had were those fram filters, but I heard they aren't that good of a filter.

i want to share some insite on the 4g64 engine.. i have one in my galant and they are in the 2g spyders. they are very strong motors with many options when you build them. they are basically a bored out 4g63 that is less likely to crankwalk and they come stock as a Sohc except in the 1994 galant GS which was a factory DOHC. But we can use the 1g and 2g 4g63t heads and build from there and power numbers are very good out of turbo builds on these motors as well

quick stats

4g64 SOHC has ...

hey guys, a lower compression ratio on a 93 gsx would increase horsepower gains alot without any risk? My brother just bought an eclipse gsx and is getting lower compression ratio pistons, larger intake manifold, everything to lower the compression ratio to about 7:1 with just the stock turbo still in the car. I know there is definitly a risk with running a setup like this with just the stock 4g63T turbo still sitting in there. I have a feeling that the stock turbo cannot handle it, but that's ...

the 2G 4g63 7 bolt engine is very nice engine, turbocharged 210 horses, soooo nice. But the downside is...(silence)....The dreaded possibility of the crank taking a walk and walking away with all your money to try to fix it. my former gst did not have crankwalk but I am afraid of this happening if I buy another 2g gst or a gsx. Even though the 420a is decent (cough, weak)engine, is a good idea to just get a 2g rs/gs and turbo it so I don't deal with the crankwalk issues of the 4g63 7 bolt? Oh ...
