The moderators of this forum will try hard to edit or remove reprehensible messages as soon as possible. However, it is impossible for them to review all the messages. You thus admit that all the messages posted on this forum express the sight and opinion of their respective authors and not those of the moderators or the Webmaster (except messages posted by them) and consequently, they cannot be held responsible of the discussions.

OFFICIAL HCDSM FORUM RULESGeneral Rules1. It is the responsibility of all members of the HCDSM forum to know and abide by these rules.2. These rules may updated in any way and without any prior notice by the leadership of the HCDSM forum.3. Any post made by a HCDSM forum member in any sub-forum of the HCDSM forum shall constitute acceptance and agreement by that member to abide by the rules put forth by the forum leadership. This includes any and all alterations made to said rules by the forum leadership after the initial acceptance.4. Any discussion regarding these rules may be initiated by any member at any time by sending a private message to a forum leader. Please include a reasonable, well thought out, and concise reason to initiate the discussion and be prepared to explain fully your position in further communication.-A. Please give the forum leader you have contacted at LEAST 12 hrs to respond. If you do not receive a response within 12hrs feel free to contact another mod/admin-B. If a particular forum leader denies your request DO NOT, under any circumstances, contact another forum leader in an attempt to re-initiate the denied discussion.5. If you find your thread locked or deleted with little to no explanation, it should be considered a suggestion to re-read these rules.6. Multiple violations of these rules may lead to an extended or permanent ban from any sub-forum or the HCDSM forum in general. The length of any extended ban is at the discretion of the forum leader who is initiating the ban.7. Any "Not Safe for Work" material must be annotated as such by including an indication (NWS, NSFW, etc.) in the thread title.8. Avatars must be work safe.9. Reasonable exceptions to these rules may be made/permitted by the forum leadership at any time, at the discretion of the forum leadership.-A. These exceptions must be approved prior to the post being made.-B. Every attempt to "process" any exception in a reasonable amount of time will be made by the forum leadership.-C. Any exception made shall be noted with the phrase "Post approved by xxxxx" where "xxxxx" denotes the username of the forum leader who approved the exception.10. Any and all alterations made by any forum leader to any portion of the text of any post must remain in place at all times.11. DO NOT leech someone else's bandwidth. This means that you are displaying an image on the forum that is hosted on another site without the permission of that site's owner. We do not want to see any "shock" images appear on the forum because of your ill-fated attempt at displaying an image. We STRONGLY encourage that if you want to display an image on the forum, that you find a site to host it where you have control over the image.Classifieds Rules1. You must be here for a minimum of 7 days AND have a minimum of 30 posts to start a new thread in the classifieds.2. Posts advertising your business are not allowed without an exception being granted by the forum leadership.3. The Classified forum of the HCDSM forum is intended to be used to post automobiles and automotive parts. Please post other items sparingly.4. Please ensure that you list the year/model/etc. for the items that you are looking to sell or buy.5. Pictures are REQUIRED for any item priced over $100. DO NOT create an ad without pics when required--no exceptions without prior approval.6. Thread creation privileges in the Classifieds forums are restricted to members who reside in the following states: Connecticut, New York, Mass, and Rhode Island. Please keep in mind that we prefer that you live within 3-4 hours of the Hartford area as well.7. The VIN for any chassis posted in any "For Sale" ad shall be made available on request.8. Members who wish to post a "For Sale" ad MUST PROVIDE A PRICE. You are strongly encouraged to price your items in accordance with the current market price for similar items.9. Please use "bumps" on classifieds sparingly in your Classifieds threads. If you notice your 'bump' post deleted, take a hint for next time.10. Update your original thread with any new details, do not start a new one.11. No whining, complaining, or otherwise negatively commenting on the item or it's price listed in a "For Sale" ad.-A. There will be no exceptions to this rule.-B. Do not Private Message, E-mail, Instant Message, Phone or otherwise contact the seller with any such comments.-C. If you'd like simply to offer a lower price, feel free to do so via PM. Keep your offer "tasteful"; do not insult the seller.-D. If you are NOT planning on buying, do NOT plan on posting.12. Those members, and only those members, directly involved in a transaction shall be held liable for any issues that arise out of said transaction. Under absolutely no circumstances shall the forum owner, leadership and individual members not directly involved in the transaction be held liable in any way.13. Although we try to weed out the trolls and scammers, members involved in a transaction originating on the HCDSM Classifieds forum are strongly encouraged to protect themselves from fraud, theft, etc. in any and all reasonable and legal manners.14. Under no circumstances shall the Classifieds forum of the HCDSM forum be used for any type of illegal activity. Such use of the Classifieds forum will lead to an immediate and permanent ban for the offending user(s) from the HCDSM forum. Under no circumstances will a ban originating from these activities be reversed.
